Another name has been added to the roster of celebs who will be forced to spend a few hours mingling with the one-percent of the Coachella Valley in early January all in hopes that it helps get some airtime on Entertainment Tonight and maybe leads to a few more votes for an Academy Award.

The booking of Joaquin Phoenix at the show comes with the bonus of director Todd Phillips showing up without the need to order an extra award, so the fest’s organizers have that going for them this year.
The Rich People Prom will take place on January 2 in Palm Springs. You can’t afford to attend.
