The newest member of the Palm Springs Police Department appears to be a good boy

The Palm Springs Police Department announced their newest Explosive Detection K-9 Officer on Thursday and he appears to be a very good boy.

K-9 Gunner completed his Explosive Detection training was place on his first assignment at the Palm Springs International Airport. In his first days on the job at the airport, K-9 Gunner alerted about a suspicious bag which resulted in the detection of over 80 rounds of ammunition.

Ammunition contains smokeless black powder which is one of many explosives Gunner is trained to detect.

Seems like he’s off to a good start.
