Rain, a thing that the Coachella Valley has actually gotten used to seeing on a somewhat regular basis over the past couple of months, is coming yet again this week – with much of Southern California expected to get dumped on.

A series of storms are expected to move in beginning late Wednesday, with rain fall totals ranging anywhere from 5 to 10 inches on the coastal slopes to 1 to 2 inches in the Coachella Valley – which may not sound like much, but keep in mind, some roads in the desert seem to completely flood with .01 inches of rain.

And it is not just rain on the way.  High temps will only be in the 50s this weekend in and around Palm Springs, according to the forecast, and lows will be down into the low 40s – which is a bit chilly for Desert Rats.

Meanwhile, the local mountains could see up to 3 feet of new snow from these storms.

What a winter!
