Temperatures are going to be scorching this weekend in The Coachella Valley – but there are still plenty of things going on:
- 80’s Bands Galore: Replay America is a night featuring every 80’s band that ever existed, ok most anyway: The Go-Go’s, Patty Smyth & Scandal, Martha Davis & The Motels, and Naked Eyes featuring Pete Byrne – Saturday night at The Show at Agua Caliente Casino. Tickets start at $65
- Pool Movies: Friday night, just after dusk, Palm Springs Wet ‘n’ Wild will be showing a movie that you can watch poolside. This week’s flick is The Lego Movie. Meanwhile, across town “The Avengers” will be shown at La Quinta’s Fritz Burns Pool with admission being a buck.
- Free (and not free) Tribute Bands: Saturday night has dueling tribute bands: Moving Pictures, a tribute to Rush is at The Rockyard at Fantasy Springs for free. Meanwhile, just down the block, Dean Colley does his best Neil Diamond at Spotlight 29 with all tickets being twenty bucks.
- The Voice Tour: If you love watching “The Voice” on the teevee, then you will be excited to know that a few of the contestants from the show are coming to Fantasy Springs Resort on Saturday night including season 5 champ, Tessanne Chin. Tickets begin at $39 – but do be advised, chairs will not be set up for spinning.
- Taste Some Beer: Every Friday from 4-6pm, sample craft brews at Jensen’s for $3. Total Wine also has beer (and wine) tasting every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 6pm.
If you find yourself up for a drive, here are a couple of bonus options:

- The Cult: The Riverside Municipal Auditorium will be rocking Saturday night as The Cult & Prayers perform in The I.E. Tickets begin at $42.
