Yelp has named their 100 Best Places to Eat in the United States and topping the list is Indio’s own TKB Bakery and Deli.
The 5th annual list has the Greater Palm Springs deli topping the list, in which Yelp’s data science team compared businesses from across the country and compiled data from reviews, accounting for quality and popularity, to reveal the most popular and top rated restaurants from all over the country.
TKB Bakery and Deli has been on the list all five years, but this is the first time it has come in at number one and rightfully so, I mean look at these sandwiches!

TKB is short for “The Kid’s Business” and was first opened in 1991, in the home of Athena and Paul Sippel (the kids’ Mom & Dad) in Rancho Mirage. The kids (Melina, Nathan and Brandon), along with some friends, went house-to-house selling Athena’s healthier alternative cookie dough.
