What’s better than pizza? How about free pizza! How about free pizza delivered to you! Well, most of The Coachella Valley can get it right now as part of a promotion for the new courier service in town, Postmates.
Cactus Hugs reader Abbigail alerted me to the promotion – which is similar to this pat weekend’s free ice cream deliveries. As Postmates is new to the Coachella Valley, they are running promotions to get you familiar with them. The service will deliver all kinds of things to you (see previous posts about it here and here) and today, residents of most Coachella Valley cities (sorry cities north of the 10) can get free pizza on demand.
The app says you can order the pizza until 7:30 p.m. – so far, some of you guys report getting Shaky’s, some NYPD, and I got Bill’s (below). You can get two free slices of either pepperoni or cheese. You can choose from a can of Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, or Sprite – which is also free.

Here is how it works:
- Just go to the Postmates website or download the app. (when you sign up, you can use my code tnys1 as that should get you 10 of delivery credits to use later).
- Then, look for the Free Slice and Soda On-Demand Store.
- Add your FREE slice and soda
- Checkout someone will deliver you some pizza and a soda in minutes!
Do note, the pizza and soda are free and while a few of you told me that you got free delivery in the western part of The Coachella Valley, others (including yours truly) further East (I am in Palm Desert) will get charged $5 for delivery (I checked with Postmates, and the fee is capped at $5 for this item – but hey, that is what the code I gave you earlier is for!) – you also should probably tip your courier.
