Trick-or-treaters discover marijuana grow house in San Jacinto

A family out for trick-or-treating in San Jacinto discovered a marijuana grow house Halloween night.

Upon approaching a residence on Crooked Branch Way, a parent of trick-or-treaters noticed the front door of the house open and marijuana growing inside, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Police were called and they conducted an interior search of the unoccupied residence. The interior of the house was heavily modified for the cultivation of marijuana. A search warrant was served and authorities seized 759 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

A dog at the location was turned over to the Ramona Humane Society for safekeeping.

Deputies confiscated all contraband located on the property, but no arrests have were made. The investigation is ongoing.
