
A man and a woman were arrested after an armed robbery of Taqueria San Miguel in Thousand Palms Thursday night. a short time later, authorities charged the man with seven additional robberies that took place around the Coachella Valley in September and October.
The man entered the restaurant about 8:30 pm on Thursday night with a gun and demanded money, according to a news release. Police did not say how much money he left with.

Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle in the area, but the driver failed to yield. Police pursued the vehicle into Indio.

After driving through multiple streets, the female driver stopped the car in the area of Vargas Road and Capricorn Avenue in the city of Indio and surrendered.
The driver of the vehicle, Guillermina DeLara, age 47 of Indio, was arrested for robbery and felony evading. Javier Taylor, age 34, transient, was arrested for robbery.

Investigators had been conducting a lengthy investigation of multiple robberies that occurred throughout the cities of Coachella, Indio, and La Quinta, during the months of September and October. Authorities charged Taylor with four robberies in Coachella, two in La Quinta, and four that occurred in the city of Indio.
