Two men were arrested in Beaumont early Sunday morning after what police say was an altercation and the discovery of a loaded AK-47.
Police were called at about 1:45 am to a business on E. 6th Street. “Arriving officers contacted a victim who reported that there had been an altercation inside the location and as the reporting party was attempting to leave the two subjects drove up and pointed a rifle at them,” police said in a news release.

Police found the vehicle the duo fled in, a red pickup truck, a short time later. A loaded AK47 rifle was found inside the truck during a search.
Damian Rodriguez, 22, of Beaumont, and Fontana resident Juan Valenzuea, 22, were both arrested on suspicion of brandishing a firearm and possession of an assault rifle.
