Desert Hot Springs High School was placed on lockdown about 2 pm on Monday after a report that a student had a firearm on campus.

Police were able to locate the gun in question and two students were detained, according to KMIR.

The lockdown was then lifted, notes KESQ.  No one was injured or harmed.
