Two people were injured after their plane crashed just south of the 10 Freeway in Banning on Friday.

The pilot of the plane lost control on his way to landing at Banning Airport, reports the Press Enterprise. The plane, a Cessna 15, had taken off from Palm Springs International Airport.

The occupants of the plane suffered moderate injuries after the aircraft hit a tree.
