Two pedestrians were struck and killed in separate collisions in Coachella and Palm Springs on Tuesday night.
At about 7:10 pm, a man was hit on Sunrise Way between E. Ramon Road and E. Sunny Dunes, reports KESQ. The man was struck by a Tesla SUV as he attempted to cross the street, notes KMIR.
The driver is cooperating with police and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor.

A few hours later, a pedestrian was struck and killed near Avenue 52 and Grapefruit Boulevard in Coachella, at about 11:26 pm, according to a release. The man was hit by a driver who fled, then was run over by a second vehicle – the driver of which stayed at the scene, according to KMIR.
The victim was 36-year-old Juan Hernandez of Indio, reports KESQ.
