UB40 will bring their 40th Anniversary Tour to Spotlight 29 Casino on Saturday, August 31st.
Tickets for the concert run $35 to $50 and on sale Friday, February 1st at 10 am. You can also grab a booth, which includes six seats, for $360. Just be sure to save some money for a little red, red wine to sip on during the show.
UB40 was formed in Birmingham, England, in late 1978 by singer-guitarist Ali Campbell and the rhythm section of drummer Jimmy Brown and bassist Earl Falconer. Their debut album, Signing Off, spent 71 weeks on the U.K. charts and eventually went platinum.
The group made it big in the US after the release of 1983’s Labour of Love, which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The record of all covers included: “Please Don’t Make Me Cry” (Winston Groovy), “Many Rivers to Cross” (Jimmy Cliff) and “Cherry Oh Baby” (Eric Donaldson), plus the world-wide No. 1 smash, “Red Red Wine” (Neil Diamond).
