Yes, this time of year can be brutally hot in Southern California. And yes, some will do almost anything to cool off – but, hopefully that does not involve swimming in a poo filled pond at your local park.

This young man was spotted at Temecula’s Duck Pond Park doing just that…

The guy who shot the video later admitted that the swim was part of a dare – which would be hilarious if not for all of the poop.

“I don’t know of any sane person would want to go in that water,” said James Wilcox, recreation supervisor for the city told the Press Enterprise. “There is probably some duck (waste,) turtle (waste) …,”
