Back in the late 1930s, Santa forewent his sleigh for a day and instead traveled to Palm Springs in an airplane to hand out presents to Coachella Valley kids. Here’s some old-school home movies to prove it.
There is also some cool footage of the parade and city tree.
Not sure what is the deal with the balloons on a stick that Santa is carrying around. If someone could please explain in the comments, that would be great.
The YouTube description says the footage, which is color 16mm, was shot by Al Taylor in 1938 and 1939.
