Just Getting Started – a new flick opening this weekend starring Tommy Lee Jones and God, errr I mean Morgan Freeman – is about a couple of elderly dudes hanging out, trying to bang a younger woman (Rene Russo), golfing, and living at a retirement home in Palm Springs. So basically, you could just save $10 on a movie ticket and just look outside.

As the Desert Sun notes, the film is based in Palm Springs but wasn’t actually filmed in Palm Springs – instead taking advantage of tax breaks by shooting in New Mexico. Not that your grandparents care.
They are going to a matinee on Saturday, after a glass of chardonnay at Acqua California Bistro, and, if they can stop themselves from taking a nap in the theater, they are going to love it.
