Well, my friend. We have made it through an unusually long stretch without having the temperature hit triple digits in the Coachella Valley. It was nice while it lasted.
The forecast for this week in the Coachella Valley has relatively nice temps at the beginning of the week (mid 80s), but by Thursday it should hit the upper 90s and, welp, it’s triple digits in the forecast from Thursday through Sunday:
And it’s not just heating up here, it’s heating up everywhere in Southern California:
A much warmer and sunnier weather pattern is taking shape. ☀️ By next Wednesday, temps will climb into the 80s inland and into the 90s across the lower deserts.
This upward temperature trend will likely continue as we head into May with above normal temps favored. #CAwx pic.twitter.com/jGn4EtUWpp

And yeah, it’s a desert, and it’s not unexpected, but that doesn’t mean we have to like it – especially since this means a higher electric bill during the pandemic ?.
Stay cool and stay safe.
