
Wednesday night saw rain, thunder, and plenty of lightning in the Greater Palm Springs area.
The storm brought of a decent amount of rain to some areas (1.1 inches in Sky Valley, .60 inches in Thousand Palms, .35 in Cathedral City) and a ton of lightning:

The lightning storm knocked out the 911 system in Palm Springs for several hours.
Palm Springs 911 phone lines are down call 760-770-0300 to report an emergency.
