Woman arrested for firing gun during parking lot fight at Snow Valley

Snow Valley

A fight in the parking lot of Snow Valley Mountain resort on Saturday ended with 4 rounds fired into the air and 2 people in jail.

Running Springs residents Anthony Magana, 37, and Jennifer Magana, 31, were arrested after the incident, according to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Police say that a fight between 4 people broke out about 2:25 p.m. While they are not sure what the fight was about, deputies claim that Anthony Magana was the “aggressor” in the fight. When the fight got physical, Jennifer Magana pulled out a gun from her car and fired four rounds into the air – apparently to stop the fight, say the police.

Authorities responded to the event as an active shooter situation and Anthony Magana was booked into jail on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury. Jennifer Magana was cited for discharging a firearm and a report was filed with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.

Police are still investigating.
