The Portland bound flight was preparing for takeoff at 7:50 p.m. when the lady was stung on the hand by the animal. The flight returned to the terminal and the woman was treated by paramedics.
The scorpion was found and then killed by the plane’s crew. The plane, which had arrived from Los Cabos, Mexico, departed 40 minutes later from LAX. The woman stung remained in LA.
