A woman was killed on Monday after she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Highway 74 on foot.
The crash was reported at 5:10 pm near Desert Heights Circle, reports KMIR. The pedestrian was hit by a car traveling north on the Palms to Pines Highway and was taken to a hospital where she died.
Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor and the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
