When traveling, if you want to bring home a bottle of booze – you have to stick it in your checked luggage. One lady in Beijing did not get that memo – so, when she was stopped by airport security with a bottle of Rémy Martin XO Excellence in her carry on, she decided she only had one choice: slam the entire bottle before boarding the plane.
The forty-year-old woman was transfering to a domestic flight after flying over from The U.S., where she had purchased the bottle of liquor. When she was told that she could not bring the bottle on the plane and that it was too late to get it into her checked luggage, she stepped aside and began to drink.
Now, while the woman did not end up wasting $160 worth of booze, she did end up getting way too wasted to fly. She was soon rolling on the floor and screaming incoherently. She was not allowed to board the plane out of safety concerns.
“She was so drunk… she couldn’t even stand up herself. We took her to a room in a wheelchair so she could rest,” an officer told The Beijing Times.
Her family was eventually called and came to pick her up.
