A woman is in custody after reports of shots fired in Thermal Friday evening.

Police surrounded a home near Alvarado Avenue and Jackson Street after responding to reports of shots fired about 3:45 pm.

A neighbor told KESQ that the shots were fired following a domestic dispute between a married couple who live at the residence.  The neighbor also says a dog who attacked police officers was shot.

The woman was taken into custody a little after 5.  Detectives are investigating.
