A woman is dead following a single-vehicle collision in Cathedral City early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on Date Palm Drive near Tacheva Drive a little after 2 am, according to Cathedral City Police. A passenger in the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman, died at the scene. The male driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police suspect the man was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
