A body found by hikers Sunday off of Highway 74 near Idyllwild is being investigated by police.
Sheriff’s officials say it is not immediately clear how the woman died, but did say that the body was “in advanced stages of decomposition”, reports The Press Enterprise.
The body was discovered Sunday near Strawberry Creek and Mile Marker 54 by some hikers around 10:45 a.m., according to the Idyllwild Town Crier.
