You can legally take a ballot selfie today

While voting is important because of, you know, issues and things, it’s also something you can now InstaBrag about legally in the state of California.

The state amended a law back in 2010 which made it legal for voters to share photographs of their ballots. And while the law went into effect too late for anyone to post their Presidential ballots, it’s totally ok to post a ballot selfie this time around.

Now do be warned, just like the pics of your dinner and video of your kid’s recital, no one is really going to care how you voted. Also, voting does not give you permission to bitch about the government. But, it does give everyone some options other than just a pic of the “I Voted” sticker, so at least not every pic you see on the ‘Gram will look exactly the same today.
