Cancel whatever you had planned for the day as not you can be a dick to all of your friends with an iPhone simply by sending a text message that will automatically turn off their phone.
A flaw in the phones design causes it to crash and reboot every time the characters this message is sent to it, as outlined here:

There does not appear to be any damage as a result of the message and, so far, the only way to prevent your phone from being shut off is to turn off text notifications.
