You have undoubtedly been hearing a lot about the coronavirus and so has everyone else – which has led to quite the run on bottled water, toilet paper, face masks, and hand sanitizer at your local store.
Posts have been popping up on social media throughout the country about Walmart, Costco, and other stores and, if you haven’t stocked up by now, you may not find much left.
I avoided Costco because it looked insane, but folks in Walmart were stocking up on toilet paper, paper towel & water. This display that was full earlier in the week, was now empty and there was no hand sanitizer left in the store. pic.twitter.com/QmOMvy5soF

This aisle at Costco is usually full of skids of toilet paper. This morning the line up to pay was out the door with buggies full of rolls. People stocking up in case of quarantine…and hand sanitizer is sold out everywhere.#coronavirus pic.twitter.com/EhhjzTpsTr

Baby wipe, hand sanitizer, bread, water, toilet paper, paper towels, rice etc. are almost or completely gone off the shelves!

So, I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not any better on Amazon:

And while you are free to grab the Purell and TP, officials are asking that everyone limit their purchases on masks, so there are some left for actual health care professionals. Plus, if you are out-of-luck on your search for Purell, you can always wash your hands with old-fashioned soap and water.
