Because they are obviously not charging you too much for coffee already, Starbucks has announced that it is raising prices by 5 to 20 cents on some drinks starting Tuesday.
The price of large and small brewed coffees will go up by 10 cents at most stores. A large coffee will now run you $2.45 in most U.S. stores.
Starbucks says that the purpose of the price increase is to “balance the need to run our business profitably while continuing to provide value to our loyal customers and to attract new customers.”
Of course, there could be another way to do that:
Instead of raising prices #starbucks could lower their overhead by not opening locations across the street from each other. #coffee
