Police arrested a Yucca Valley man Wednesday night after he was found with a stolen dirt bike just five days after he had been released from custodyl.

Jaden Derry, 21, was cited on September 29 on suspicion of carrying a dirk or dagger. He was released with the stipulation that he wouldn’t commit any felonies while awaiting his court date, reports The Sun.

During a security check Wednesday night at a home on Joshua Drive, deputies discovered a 2004 Honda dirt bike that was reported stolen on two days earlier in Landers, according to KESQ.

Derry was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and committing a felony while being released from custody on your own recognizance.
