A 14-year-old boy was arrested after police say he led them on a high speed chase on a dirt bike through Yucca Valley on Friday afternoon.
A Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop the teen near Balsa Avenue and Onaga Trail about 4:30 p.m., reports Z107.7 fm.
The boy did not stop and proceeded to lead police on a chase at speeds up to 85 miles per hour. During the pursuit he blew through six stop signs.
The motorcycle eventually became disabled and police were able to take the teenager into custody.
The teenager was not identified due to his age, but police noted the boy was on probation.
