Another fast-casual pizza joint has opened in the desert and, as part of the opening, served up some free pies to those who came by. Once again, a long line confirmed a theory that pretty much everyone already knew: people really like free pizza.

Pieology officially opens on Friday in Rancho Mirage, but will have a couple more windows where they give out free pizza before then…

It joins several other fast-casual pizza joints like Blaze and Your Pie which have recently opened in the Coachella Valley with more on the way.
And yes, at this rate, soon every restaurant in town will be a fast-casual pizza place…but still no Chik-fil-A. Weird how that works.
