1 arrested, 1 wanted for robbing Indio Domino’s and Dollar Tree

Police arrested an 18-year-old Coachella man after they say he tried to rob two Indio businesses on Tuesday. A second man, from Indio, is also sought in connection with the crimes.

Indio Police were called to Domino’s Pizza on Avenue 42 at about 6:30 pm. As officers were responding, another 9-1-1 call was received regarding a robbery at the Dollar Tree on Jackson Street.

Officers concluded it was the same two people involved in each crime – where the suspects simulated having some type of weapon, though no weapon was actually seen, say police.

Angel Fernandez, 18, was arrested on Wednesday in Coachella about 4 pm. He was out on bail for armed robbery arrest at the time of the incident.

Anthony Quintana, 19, is at large and Indio Police are asking for the public’s help in locating him. Anyone who spots him should immediately call 9-1-1 or the Indio Police Department at (760) 391-4051.
