Palm Springs to Require Food Trucks to Shut Down at 9

Food Truck

The City of Palm Springs has proposed a food truck ordinance that would require food trucks to shut down at 9 p.m.

According to The Desert Sun, the 15-page (?) proposed “Mobile Food Vending Vehicles” also features other ridiculous rules:

  • No parking on between Alejo and Ramon on Palm Canyon Drive (but feel free to park on Indian where no one will ever see you)
  • “the vending vehicle must be at a complete stop,” (because derp?)

And all because nothing can ever be allowed to be cool or progressive or help the little guy get started in business in Palm Springs.  Ever.

The next Palm Springs City Council meeting is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at City Hall.  They are allowing public comments.  Give them hell.
