If you live in The Coachella Valley and own a sweater or jacket you might as well just sell it – because apparently Mother Nature feels it should now just be summer all year round.
Palm Springs hit the century mark on the thermometer for the first time in 2015 on Saturday and (ugh!) also set the daytime record for March 28 – breaking the previous record, set in 1969, by 3 full degrees (it was 97 that day, people bad at math).
Believe it or not, this is not the earliest that The Coachella Valley has hit 100 degrees, that happened on March 5, 1972.
But, that record clearly won’t last long, because at this rate, next year it will hit 100 degrees on New Year’s Day.
