A person is dead following a fire that broke out in a modular home early Thursday morning in Indio.
Fire crews were called at 1:13 am to a residence on Jefferson Street, according to the a news release. They arrived to find the double-wide modular home fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was fully contained by 1:49 am. Firefighters found one victim who died in the structure.
Cal Fire investigators and the Indio Police Department are investigating.
