With the fall you season you get shorter days, cooler temps, and pumpkin spice in everything.  You also get a ton of great music festivals around Southern California.  Here is  guide to 10 music festivals coming to the SoCal this fall. 

1KAABOO Del Mar – September 14 – 16

Del Mar plays host to the three-day KAABOO Del Mar festival September 14-16.  The fest is jam packed with performers including Foo Fighters, Incubus, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, and more. There’s also a slate of comedians, a pool party, and a ton of food offerings.

2Nocturnal Wonderland – September 14 & 15

The annual massive electronic music festival hits Glen Helen Regional Park with three days of camping on two nights of music on September 14 and 15. Kill the Noise, Liquid Stranger, Flux, AC Slater, Illenium, and many more will perform.

3Life is Beautiful – September 21 – 23

Alright, so this one is not in Southern California, but we make an exception for this list because it’s a great lineup and it’s freakin’ Las Vegas.  Life is Beautiful runs September 21-23 in downtown.  The fest’s lineup is pretty extensive and diverse with The Weeknd, Florence + The Machine, Travis Scott, Arcade Fire, Odesza, N.E.R.D., Death Cab for Cutie, and many more slated to perform along with comics, art installations, and even a cocktail school.

4Ohana – September 28 – 30

Ohana returns to beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point for a third year with a diverse lineup including performances from Eric Church, Eddie Vedder, Mumford & Sons, Beck, Norah Jones, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amos Lee, Liz Phair and plenty more – and it all takes place on one of the best and prettiest beaches in all of Southern California.

5Get Shamrocked – September 28 & 29

Why wait until St. Paddy’s to get your Irish party on?  Get Shamrocked is a 2-day Irish Music festival featuring 15 bands, beer, whiskey, food trucks and all things Irish. The event happens the last weekend in September in Murrietta’s Town Square Park.

6Joshua Tree Fall Music Festival – October 4 – 7

The 13th annual edition of the fall event (there is also a Joshua Tree Music Festival in the spring) promises to be a family-friendly event featuring continuous live music, yoga, art, an “Astronomy Theatre,” a kids area, and more.  The event runs October 4 – 7 at the Joshua Tree Lake Campground.

7CalJam – October 6

Glen Helen Regional Park will be the home to the second CalJam on October 6 – with the event also featuring Friday night performances from Billy Idol, Mexxrissey, and more.  For Saturday, the lineup includes Iggy Pop, Tenacious D, Garbage, Sliversun Pickups, and, of course, the Foo Fighters.

8Desert Daze – October 12 – 14

The fest has moved from Joshua Tree to Lake Perris for 2018.  Desert Daze will include performances by Tame Impala, My Bloody Valentine, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Death Grips, and more.  Plus there’s camping, food, and you can even take a boat ride or swim in the lake.

9Escape: Psycho Circus – October 26 & 27

The weekend before Halloween will see the return Escape: Psycho Circus in San Bernardino.  The two-day event includes electronic music, 30 interactive environments and mazes, and more.  Basically, it’s Halloween on steroids.  Escape: Psycho Circus is scheduled for October 26 & 27 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino.

10How the West Was Won – October 27

San Bernardino’s Glen Helen Amphitheater hosts the one-day event which will include performances by Ice Cube, The Game, Too Short, DJ Quik, Tha Dogg Pound, The Lady of Rage, and E-40.
