If you live in the Coachella Valley, you will be treated to a few days every year where the temperature goes above 120 degrees. As we are currently only at the beginning of one of those heatwaves, my brain has not yet been fried by the sun. So, here are ten things I am thinking about.
- Why am I not at the beach right now?
- Whatever they are paying people to work outside in this, it’s not nearly enough.
- Why in the world would an electric company planned power outage for maintenance during this time?
- I sure hope no one at the electric company reads that last one and decides to be a dick and schedule my neighborhood for a blackout for tomorrow.
- Why am I not at the Mountain Station of the Tramway right now?
- It’s safe to conclude that human beings were never intended to live in places where it gets to 120 degrees, yet here we are.
- I miss the ice skating rink that used to be at the mall.
- You don’t meet many global warming deniers in the Coachella Valley.
- Should I post the picture of the 120 reading on my dash thermometer now or wait to see if it goes higher?
- Where is Mr. Burns when we need him?
