First it was London. Then it was Vegas. Then Seattle and who knows what other cities I have forgotten (or if I even have the order right)…and now, could San Diego be next in line for the next huge ferris wheel?

A developer wants to build a 450-foot Ferris wheel at San Diego’s Tuna Harbor Park (next to The Midway), according to a report by inewsource.

The project is titled “San Diego Skywheel Discovery Point” – which would include a park and a 30,000 square-foot area for interactive exhibits.

Tickets would cost $25-$30 per rider and the developer believes the wheel would rake in some $60 to $70 million a year!
Cost of the project would be around $200 million (in private funds) and take 30 months to complete.
