Back in 2012, The Big Bay Boom fireworks show in San Diego was supposed to last 17 minutes. It ended up being much, much shorter than that.

The company behind the show blamed a computer glitch for the meltdown which happened at 8:55 pm, 5 minutes before the show was supposed to begin.

The crowd, which was pretty stunned, then sat around until 9:20 p.m., when a radio announcement told them all to go home.

What a way to spend the 4th of July!
