(Palm Springs Police)

An adorable pup was rescued from a locked vehicle parked at the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs on Monday. The outside temperature was over 100 degrees, the temperature inside of the vehicle was much hotter.

Officers from PSPD and Animal Control were called to the parking lot about 1 pm.  They were able to open the door of the car by sticking a pipe through a crack in the window.

The dog, which was in distress, was given water and then was taken to the VCA

The owner of the dog was cited and let’s hope they never win anything again at a casino.
