
A man riding on a motorcycle was killed on Thursday after he hit a railing and was thrown onto a car on the freeway below.
The 28-year-old man from Florida was headed south on the transition road from Highway 62 to eastbound 10 at about 4 pm when his bike drifted right and hit the railing, according to KMIR.
The man was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on a Buick Lacrosse which was driving westbound on the 10 freeway below.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the Lacrosse, 34-year-old Maria Barreras, and her four passengers were not injured.
The Desert Sun reports that alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
