A cyclist was struck and killed early Friday morning in Palm Springs.

Palm Springs Police responded to a vehicle striking a man on a bicycle East Ramon Road west of Paseo Dorotea at 4:48 am, according to the Desert Sun.
The bicyclist died at the scene. His name has not been released.
The driver of the truck is fully cooperating with the investigation, reports KESQ.

East Ramon Road, between Calle Santa Cruz and Avenida Evelita, has been closed to traffic while police investigate.
Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area this morning.
