A 25-year-old Desert Hot Springs man has been arrested after police say he broke into a home while accompanied by a child.
Damon Caldwell was was charged Monday with burglary, child endangerment and vandalism for a a January 16 break-in at a home on Calle de Vecinos.
Police released a surveillance video in hopes the public would recognize the man. In the video, the suspect is seen holding a child’s hand, walking up to the door, and breaking it in.

The two quickly flee after an alarm goes off.
Caldwell pleaded not guilty to all charges during a video arraignment on Monday afternoon.
