A man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Indio Friday morning.
Indio PD responded to a call of shots fired at Hopi Avenue and Navajo Street at 11:36 am, reports KMIR.
They arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in serious condition.
The suspect is described as an adult male in his 20s, last seen wearing a black shirt.
As KESQ notes, officers are investigating and are asking the public to avoid the area.
