By Published On: June 7, 2019Last Updated: June 11, 2026

Looking for 4th of July fireworks in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley? You have come to the right place. Here’s the 2026 roundup of events covering not only Palm Springs, but also Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indio, Coachella, Desert Hot Springs, the Hi-Desert, Idyllwild, and beyond.

This year is a big one: July 4, 2026 lands on a Saturday and it’s America’s 250th birthday, so cities are going bigger than usual. A few annual events hadn’t posted their 2026 details as of mid-June – those are marked below, and this post will be updated as cities make announcements.

Listed alphabetically by city. Note the dates carefully – some events happen on July 3 or even July 5.

Banning Fireworks and Family Fun Fest

The City Council approved the 2026 aerial fireworks show back in March (tied to the 250th anniversary, naturally), so fireworks are a go. The celebration has historically run at Nicolet Middle School with vendors, live music, and family activities, but the full 2026 schedule hadn’t been posted yet as of mid-June.

July 4, Nicolet Middle School, 101 East Nicolet Street, Banning. Details: Banning Parks & Rec, (951) 922-3242

It’s an all-day affair: $1 admission at the Beaumont Plunge pool from noon to 8 pm, Market Night and a Kids Zone on 10th Street from 4 to 8 pm, and live bands at the pavilion. Fireworks launch from south of Mt. View Middle School – the city recommends watching from Beaumont Sports Park.

A Few More Ways to Celebrate

Not into craning your neck at the sky? Also happening July 4: The Hustle disco pool party at The Saguaro in Palm Springs, Red, White & Skate at the Berger Foundation Iceplex (free Coca-Cola drinks while supplies last, and yes, ice skating in July is the correct desert move), and the Palm Springs Symphony’s “Liberty & Legacy” concert.

What About La Quinta, Indian Wells, Cathedral City, and Indio?

As of mid-June, no public 2026 fireworks shows had been announced for La Quinta (the country clubs do private displays), Indian Wells, Cathedral City, or the city of Indio proper – Indio folks usually count on Fantasy Springs and Coachella’s Bagdouma Park event. And a reminder for the Hi-Desert crowd: fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited in Joshua Tree National Park, and rangers do write citations.
