Friday
– Tribute Bands! Summer in the The Desert means a whole lot of tribute bands coming to town…they may not be the genuine article, but they are close enough and did I mention these shows are free! Friday night, Spotlight 29 has a tribute to The Doors at 8pm while Fantasy Springs has a Metallica tribute at 7:30pm Saturday.
Saturday
– Oh, yeah…those guys: Remember Big Mountain? Kinda, but not really? Fear not, someone recorded their video off of TRL (#20!) and uploaded it to YouTube for all to see:

– Dancin’ and craftin’: World Famous Party at The Hard Rock Palm Springs – 10pm
Every last Saturday of the month (this Saturday!) Goldenvoice and The Coachella Valley Art Scene host World Famous – a dance and craft(!) party at Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs.Inside DJ Alf Alpha spins dance party music from 10pm – 2am, while outside The Coachella Valley Art Scene offers a free D.I.Y. craft table. Where else can you get your dance on and make yourself some new drink coasters?
