A woman who suffered a serious leg fracture was rescued from a Palm Springs trail on Wednesday morning.
The Palm Springs Fire Department responded to the South Palm Springs trail, where crews hiked up the hill to the patient.
ALERT- units are currently onscene of an injured hiker approximately 2 miles up Rim trail (south PS) possible broken leg approximately FD personnel are hiking up to the patient at this time. Air ship is on standby. pic.twitter.com/C1rRCr1igu

Rescuers were able to get to the patient and bring her down from the trail. The woman, who suffered a serious leg fracture, was then transported to the hospital.
UPDATE- PSFD personnel were able to get the patient down to the awaiting ambulance and she was transported to a local hospital with a serious lower leg fracture. pic.twitter.com/1CJB6TUUc4
