Palm Springs firefighters responded to a blaze near Bob Hope’s old place on Tuesday afternoon.
Update 6/3: The fire has continued into Wednesday. Officials say the blaze is 20% contained and has burned approximately 140 acres.

Two firefighters have been hospitalized with heat-related issues:

Firefighters responded a little after 4 pm the Southridge section of Palm Springs. The blaze had grown to 100 acres in size by 5:30, according to the city.

No homes have been threatened and there are no evacuations ordered at this time.
