Pool admission and a massage are different purchases

A Desert Hot Springs spa day can be hours of soaking or a treatment with a little pool time afterward. Pick the version that sounds good to you, then compare the full price: admission, treatment, fees, gratuity and food. It is much easier to relax when the bill holds no surprises.

Azure Palm Hot Springs

Day admission to mineral pools, tubs and saunas, with treatments booked separately.

Cost and hours: a general day pass is $79, with access from 9 a.m.–7 p.m.; the outdoor Oasis area may close earlier. A $1 charitable charge can be removed on request. Seasonal offers can change the checkout price. A locker, robe and slippers are included; the salt room is reserved for overnight guests.

Local offer: the 2026 local program lists $49 day admission, or $39 with a separately purchased treatment, June 1–September 30, 2026. Bring the qualifying local address on your ID. Check the operator’s eligible ZIP codes before relying on that price. This is not a year-round rate.

Time needed: allow three to four hours, with treatment and changing time added to your actual reservation.

Practical note: resort admission is 17+; the spa menu says guests must be over 18 to reserve a service. Confirm eligibility before booking for an 18-year-old. Reserve online or call 760-251-2000.

The Spring Resort & Spa

An adults-only property with three mineral pools and a Finnish sauna.

Cost and hours: the day spa is open 9 a.m.–7 p.m. for guests 18+. For a soaking-only visit, check current availability and the total before booking.

Time needed: a service of at least 50 minutes includes two hours of pool and sauna access, divided between the hour before and the hour after the treatment. Call 760-251-6700 to confirm the total, arrival time and pool cutoff before paying.

Practical note: the day-spa page requires 48 hours’ cancellation notice to avoid a 100% fee. It asks guests not to make phone calls in the pool area. Check the terms on your actual reservation.

Check the parts that change the day

Ask what is waiting for you: pool admission, a lounger, treatment time or a combination. Confirm parking, food rules, locker size and the cancellation deadline. If you are between hotels, ask about suitcase storage too. Check which amenities are included for day guests.

Check current hours before going. October–April is a more reasonable window for extended outdoor lounging; May–September heat still applies around hot pools. Plan short outdoor periods and breaks rather than treating mineral water as relief from the air temperature.
